Jubo league leader beats up TV staff

A television videographer filed a case against pro-Awami League youth body Jubo League Rajshahi city unit organising secretary Alok Das and his unnamed 10-12 aides with Boalia Police Station yesterday accusing them of beating him up over parking of a motorcycle.
The victim Sayed Muhammad Masud, staff videographer of Maasranga Television, said Alok and his aides beat him for parking his motorcycle near to a motorcycle of the jubo league leader in Shaheb Bazar area around 10:00pm on Saturday.
Despite several try over cellphone, Alok could not be contacted as his cellphone was found switched off.
Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police M Obaidullah said they were trying to arrest the persons involved in the attack.
Journalists, photojournalists and video crews in Rajshahi under the banner of Rajshahi Sangbadik Somaj staged agitation in the city demanding arrest of the attackers.
