Chehlum of Khaleda's mother held in Dinajpur
Chehlum of Begum Tayeba Majumder, mother of BNP chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia, was held at her Balubari residence in the town yesterday.
On the occasion, milad mahfil was held, foods were distributed among the destitute and prayers offered at the grave of Tayeba Majumder.
Major (retd) Sayeed Iskander and engineer Shamim Iskander, two sons of Tayeba Majumder, were present.
Leaders and workers of BNP and its front organisations also attended the chehlum.
Tayeba Majumder passed away due to old age complications at Zia Heart Foundation and Research Centre on January 25.
