Transportation from Ctg stops today

MS rod and Iron-Made Goods Transportation Owners Co-Council has decided to stop carrying MS rod and other iron-made products from and to Chittagong city for an indefinite period from today demanding security on highways.
Abu Mojaffar, convener of the council, said despite several requests the administration is yet to take necessary steps to stop criminal activities including murder, abduction and robbery on the highways.
“We have been compelled to take the decision in this situation," he said.
Incidents of the criminal activities on the highways including Dhaka-Chittagong highway, Dhaka metro and suburb areas have increased in recent days, he added.
The council members transport imported and exportable products from and to Chittagong port and different steel re-rolling mills in the country.
