One thousand two hundred bullets and two grenades were found while conducting dredging operation in river Chandrana Barashia in Boalmari upazila yesterday.
Officer in-charge of Boalmari police station Ruhul Amin said, labouers found a box containing 850 SLR bullets, 350 rifle bullets and two grenades while conducting the dredging operation in the river.
He said the ammunition and grenades might have been dumped in the river during the Liberation War in 1971.
