Manager, 5 others held

Detectives arrested Sundarban Courier Service's acting general manager and five others on Friday and yesterday in connection with a robbery.
A Dhaka court yesterday placed Rezaul Islam Reza, his driver, Anisur Rahman Lenin and four others, Sheikh Sahabuddin, Mintu Mia, Shawkat Ali, and Md Rokanuzzaman, on a two-day remand in a robbery case.
The six men were produced before DMP media centre. DMP said Rezaul and Anisur were arrested from the capital's Kalyanpur on Friday while other four from Benapole in Jessore yesterday with Tk 19 lakh, three firearms, 14 bullets and a motorcycle.
The company's Uttara branch chief accountant, Tofayel Ahmed, filed the case on June 17 after armed men looted Tk 20 lakh from him at the capital's Uttara a day ago.
