One held with arms

Police arrested a youth on charge of carrying foreign pistols and attempted robbery and seized two firearms and a locally made machete from him Tuesday night.
The arrestee Jabed Hossain, 20, hails from Paschim Adarshapara village under Chansanaish Upazila.
Police found a gang of around eight alleged robbers in the city's Cinema Palace area around 11:45pm, said Sub-Inspector of Kotwali Police Station Mohammad Ali.
All robbers except for Jabed managed to flee.
Two cases were lodged in this connection yesterday.
