Train runs over college girl

A college girl was crushed under a running train at Basail upazila in the district yesterday noon.
The deceased is Sathi Akter, 17, daughter of Alam Miah of Meer Kumulli area in the sadar upazila.
Sources said a Dhaka-bound Silk City Express train from Rajshahi ran over Sathi while she was sitting on the railway track near Dapnajar level crossing in Basail upazila around 1:30pm, killing her instantly.
Witnesses said she might kill herself.
Police, however, were not sure immediately whether Sathi committed suicide or not.
