Shop employee stabbed to death

A shop employee was stabbed to death by some miscreants at the city's Khadimpara Bypass Point early yesterday.
The deceased is Kabul Hossain, 21, son of Mahmud Ali of Dattagram area and an employee of a shop near the crime scene.
Protesting the murder, agitating locals barricaded the Sylhet-Tamabil Highway for some time before police cleared the road around 9:00am.
Local shopkeepers who witnessed the crime and Khadimpara Upazila Parishad Chairman Nazrul Islam Belal alleged that three youths--Luthfur, Dinar and Sadek--and their accomplices carried out the attack at 12:30am.
Kabul was taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Kabul had testified before police against the three for carrying out a knife attack on another youth a few days ago. In retaliation, the attackers had murdered Kabul, said the upazila chairman.
Officer-in-Charge Enamul Monwar of Shahporan Police Station said they are trying to arrest the killers.
