Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Rab in a joint drive seized a huge quantity of sari, three-piece and other goods worth about Tk 12 crore on Benapole-Bahadurpur Road early yesterday. Being tipped-off, a team of BGB raided the area and seized 4000 pieces Indian saris, 1000 three pieces, motorbike parts, medicine and spices at about 2:30am. However, none was arrested as the smugglers managed to flee the scene.
