Teenaged boy commits suicide for cricket bat

A teenaged boy committed suicide as his maternal aunt refused to buy him a cricket bat at Uttar Goran of Khilgaon in the capital on Tuesday night.
The deceased Yunus Hawlader Milon, 15, son of late Jahangir Hawlader, worked at an embroidery shop in Khilgaon Taltola area.
He had been living with his aunt Laboni Akhter, who works at a garment factory, at her Uttar Goran residence since his childhood as his father died and mother got married again.
He told his aunt to buy him a cricket bat on Tuesday noon, but Laboni refused to buy the bat as she did not have money.
After being refused, Yunus made scratches on his hands with a blade, which angered Laboni. She slapped him and left the house for work.
After returning home at night, Laboni found Yunus' body hanging from the ceiling of their tin-shade room.
