Teacher killed in Rangpur

Mithapukur police recovered the body of a teacher from a pond of Milonpur union in Mithapukur upazila Sunday morning.
Victim Ekramul Haque, 35, was a computer teacher at Nidhirampur Women's Madrasa.
On Sunday morning, family members of Ekramul found the body floating in a pond near the victime's house and informed police.
Abdul Hamid, uncle of the deceased and former UP chairman of Milonpur told this correspondent that a few local criminals called him over cell phone on Saturday night.
He went out and did not return home that night.
Family members searched for him in all probable places in the village. Later they found the body floating in the pond in the morning.
