The whole episode of denigrating Prof Yunus by the incumbent government does not reflect very well on its reputation either at home or abroad. Mr Yunus should be well advised to stay clear of the personalities involved in this conspiracy.

The government cannot do this.

Really it is an irony. The Prime Minister wanted to recommend the name of Prof Dr Yunus as the head of the World Bank, but now she does not like to see the Professor as a member of the search committee. How funny!

I really don't understand what is the bone of contention between Dr Yunus and the government. Does the government consider him as its rival?

This generation in politics has destroyed the ethics in every sphere of life. We can not but repent for the indifferent attitude of obdurate politicians towards our hero, Dr Yunus. We hope for the new sun when this generation in politics will be removed and a new society will be built where we can pay due honour to a person who deserves it.

Dr Yunus is certainly paying for his name and fame dearly. It is obvious that this government feels threatened by his presence. The shameful act of the government will not be forgotten.

Dr. Yunus is a towering genius. But it is unfortunate that he was born in a country where mean people dictate things.

It should be regarded as blatant external intervention in our internal affair. I think, it is demeaning us as a sovereign nation.

Bangladesh government is making decision about the managing director of Grameen Bank without the participation of sir Dr Yunus. It seemed to me like it was a family without parents!

Who else could be more competent to head the selection committee for Grameen Bank MD than Prof Yunus, the greatest Bangladeshi of our generation? The majority of the Grameen board members also want Yunus to head the search committee. We don't see any problem having the Grameen founder in the search committee.
