Minar Mahmud laid to rest

Minar Mahmud, editor of the now defunct weekly news magazine 'Bichinta', was laid to rest at Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard in the city's Mirpur yesterday.
He was buried after his third namaz-e-janaza held at Bardhanbari Mosque adjacent to the graveyard after Zohr prayers.
The second janaza was held at Alipur graveyard mosque in Faridpur town yesterday morning where Labour, Employment and Expatriates Welfare Minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain attended.
His body was brought to his native home in Alipur on Friday evening and was taken to Faridpur Press Club where the local journalists paid their last respects to him.
Minar Mahmud was found dead in a residential hotel in the city on Thursday.
