Mashrafe back after 9 months
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will take his first steps into full match recovery when he takes the field for Bangladesh Biman in the Dhaka Premier League today.
The former national captain's return to competitive cricket after nine months and ten days will be the national airliner's sixth round tie against Mohammedan Sporting Club at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The paceman has been allowed to bowl a maximum of four overs at full tilt, but is cleared to field and bat. It will be his first game after the game against Australia in April 13 last year. Mashrafe took 3-80 from nine overs in that outing at the same venue.
The day will also have the summit clash at the BKSP where Gazi Tank take on Old DOHS, both teams being locked at ten points alongside Abahani and Victoria.
Abahani will face Cricket Coaching School at the Fatullah Cricket Stadium, a chance to extend their lead against the mid-table strugglers.
