BCL celebrates anniversary
The 66th anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was celebrated yesterday with the notion of bringing changes to themselves in a dynamic world.
The leaders and activists of BCL observed the day with different programmes and fanfare.
They started the day by placing wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Dhanmodi-32 and followed it up with cutting a large cake at Karzan Hall of Dhaka University.
Once students praised and loved student politics but now it is feared, said Obaidul Kader, communications minister, while addressing as chief guest at a rally at Aparajeyo Bangla of Dhaka University.
He said BCL should come out of this.
“Misconduct of few persons cannot damage the 64 years of glory of BCL,” the minister said.
The rally was followed by a colourful procession starting from Aparajeyo Bangla and ending at Bangabandhu Avenue.
