Living in a fool's paradise!
A front page report of 23rd December published in a weekly English newspaper was the proper analysis of the opinion expressed by the foreign relations adviser to the PM on India's assurances. Indeed, our government is living in the illusions of 'happy dreams'. Indian assurances can be best described in Shakespeare's famous lines: "It's a tale, told by an idiot.
Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing!" We are yet to fathom their diplomatic language. For our government, it matters little or nothing that despite assurances, thousands of Bangladeshis are shot and killed regularly by the 'trigger happy' Indian Border Guards.
Maybe, it is our government's easy way out of the population problem. What more do the voters want? " We are not to question why; we are but to die, thinks, so thinks our 'friendly' neighbouring country!
