Oli gets bail in two cases
The High Court yesterday granted six weeks' ad interim bail to Liberal Democratic Party chief Col (Retd) Oli Ahmed in two separate cases.
An HC bench of Justice Syed Muhammad Dastagir Husain and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore granted the bail.
Aftab Mahmud Shimul filed a case with Chittagong Kotwali Police Station against 18 people, including Oli, for physically assaulting him on Chittagong court premises on November 24.
Agitated activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) allegedly hurled shoes and brickbats at Oli's car on the Chittagong court premises on November 24.
