Tamim to undergo scan
Dashing Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has been complaining of pain on his right knee.
The left-handed batsman will come to Dhaka from Chittagong, where a training camp is going on as part of the preparations for the next home series against Pakistan, to do an MRI scan today as the team management didn't want to take any risk ahead of the series.
“He (Tamim) is complaining of pain on his knee and that's why he will go to Dhaka for a check-up. There is nothing serious but we don't want to take any risks,” informed team operations manager Zahid Razzak Masum over telephone from the port city yesterday.
Tamim earlier missed the fourth round of the National Cricket League due to a stiff neck.
Pakistan will arrive in Dhaka on November 26 to play one T20 international, three ODIs and a two-match Test series against the Tigers.
Meanwhile, vice-captain Mahmudullah Riyad joined the camp in Chittagong yesterday.
