Sheikh Aifar Rahman

Sheikh Aifar Rahman, a freedom fighter and senior staff reporter of locally published The Dainik Purbanchal, died of cancer at Khulna Surgical Clinic on Friday at the age of 61.
He was admitted to the Surgical Clinic on Thursday night as his condition deteriorated.
Aifar was office secretary of Khulna district unit of Awami League from 1984 to 1992. He acted as information secretary of the same district committee till his death.
He was laid to eternal rest at Basupara graveyard.
