BFF in quandary over team manager
With only two weeks left to the start of the SAFF Football Championship, the Bangladesh Football Federation is still in disagreement over the appointment of a team manager.
It has been learnt that the BFF president Kazi Salahuddin and the National Team Management Committee (NTMC) are in disagreement over their choice of personnel.
On the November 2 meeting, the NTMC proposed former national booters Golam Rabbani Helal and Abdul Gaffar as the team leader and team manager respectively but the BFF boss reportedly declined to approve the selection, disagreeing with the name of the manager.
Reportedly the BFF president wants to appoint BFF member Amirul Islam Babu as the team manager while the NTMC sticks to their decision to appoint a technical person, preferably a former footballer rather than a non-technical person.
The NTMC now plans to propose Arif Khan Joy instead of Gaffar as manager and submit it to the BFF president.
