Wickets tumble but BD A on top
The wickets tumbled like ninepins on the opening day of the second and final four-day match, but still Bangladesh A seized control against their West Indian counterparts at the Beausejour Stadium in St Lucia on Saturday.
Seventeen wickets fell on the day as Bangladesh A were bundled out for 155 runs in their first innings after being sent into bat first and then reduced their opponents to 72 for seven before stumps were drawn for the day.
After the brittle batting display, pacer Forhad Reza along with left-arm spinner Sohrawardi Shuvo brought the second string Bangladesh side back into the match.
Forhad claimed three wickets conceding 17 runs while Shuvo took three for 20 runs.
Rajindra Chandrika remained not out on 30 and was the lone batsman to reach double figure.
Earlier, Bangladesh A lost wickets at regular intervals before Forhad Reza and Sohag Gazi put on 61 runs for the ninth wicket to help them cross the three-figure mark.
Sohag fell to Sunil Narine for 30 while Forhad ended up unbeaten on 39.
Andre Russell and Nelson Pascal destroyed the Bangladesh A batting by taking four wickets each.
