FM stresses building Commonwealth resilience
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni yesterday said the Commonwealth countries need to build resilience with effective response to political upheaval, financial meltdown and natural disasters in an environment of climate change and insecurity of food, water and energy.
“The world today is witnessing those challenges, particularly the developing states,” she said while addressing the foreign ministers meeting, the pre-Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), at Perth, Australia.
The 3-day CHOGM begins today where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading a 55-member Bangladesh.
