Congratulations!
Julian Barnes has won the Man Booker Prize this year for his novel "The Sense of an Ending." Barnes is the only contender to have been previously shortlisted. The novel is about a man who is forced to confront the buried truths about his past after the unexpected arrival of a letter. Barnes, one of the Britain's most critically acclaimed novelists, was previously nominated for Booker Prize for "Flaubert's Parrot," ''England, England" and "Arthur and George."
My heartiest congratulations to the writer.
