Water tank for railway passengers

Robi Axiata Ltd, a mobile operator, has set up a safe drinking water plant at Kamalapur Railway Station to facilitate the railway passengers.
Under Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, in collaboration with Bangladesh Railway, a water tank with capacity of 5,000 litre has been set up to supply 4,000 litre of safe drinking water per hour to meet the demand of more than 24,000 passengers at the station.
Director General of Bangladesh Railway Abu Taher and Chief Financial Officer of Robi Mahtabuddin Ahmed jointly inaugurated the initiatives titled 'Nirapad Pani, Sushtho Jibon' (Safe Water, Healthy Life) at the railway station yesterday.
Water Aid Bangladesh provided technical support to the initiative that has installed 10 taps with the reservoir. Of them, five have were kept for men and four for women and the rest one is for the disabled.
Robi Executive Vice President Mahmudur Rahman, Vice President Segufta Y Samad, Additional Director General (Operation) of Bangladesh Railway Mohammad Shahjahan, among others, spoke.
