Housewife murdered in Jessore

A housewife was stabbed to death by criminals at village Satbaria under Keshabpur upazila in Jessore district early yesterday.
The victim was identified as Kulsum Begum, 35, wife of Abdus Sattar of Begumpur village in the upazila.
Officer in charge of Keshabpur police station Mir Rezaul Hossain said Kulsum went to visit her sister Halima Begum. At night, criminals stabbed her with sharp weapons indiscriminately in the bedroom.
Hearing the hue and cry, locals rushed to the house but the criminals managed to flee.
Locals took severely injured Kulsum to Keshabpur Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
