Siddikur's sorry finish
Siddikur Rahman faltered badly at the last round of the CJ Invitational to finish 52nd as the Korean host KJ Choi claimed a convincing two-stroke victory on Sunday.
The 27-year old Siddikur ended round four with a disappointing 7-over par 79 that took his aggregate to 3-over-par 291 at the Haesley Nine Bridges Golf Club yesterday.
The finish was a disappointing one especially after the way he recovered from a poor 3-over-par start with 2-under-par and 5-under-par rounds.
Siddikur was erratic throughout the day as he squeezed in two birdies in between seven bogeys and a double bogey.
Meanwhile, 41-year-old Choi overcame a three-shot deficit with an outward 34 before taking a firm grip of the 750,000 dollar tournament.
Asian Tour number one Noh Seung-yul of Korea put up a strong fight before settling for second place following a final round 66 while American star Anthony Kim and overnight leader Lee Ki-sang of Korea settled for a share of third place following rounds of 73 and 74 respectively.
