Jamaat leader Razzaq gets bail
The High Court (HC) yesterday granted anticipatory bail to Jamaat-e-Islami leader Barrister Abdur Razzaq for four months in a vandalism case.
Paltan police filed the case on September 19 against Razzaq, assistant secretary general of Jamaat, and many other leaders and activists of the party in connection with vandalising some vehicles and obstructing police in discharging their duties in the city the same day.
Razzaq appeared before an HC bench for the bail after he returned home from abroad yesterday morning.
Barrister Rafique-ul Huq moved for Razzaq.
