Clean-up campaign begins at RU

Teachers and students of Department of Chemistry of Rajshahi University (RU) began a five-day voluntary clean up campaign on the campus yesterday.
Freshers led the campaign around 5:00pm at the department's Distillation Plan Building which was abandoned and gathering dust for many years.
Around 500 students of five batches were divided into five teams, the first one being the freshers.
Faculty of Science Dean Prof Toffazal Hossain Tarafdar inaugurated the campaign where the department Chairman Prof Shamsul Islam, RU Proctor Prof Chowdhury Muhammad Zakaria and others teachers of the department were present.
