Abducted schoolgirl rescued

Police rescued a schoolgirl from Dhaka Bus Stand area in the town yesterday.
She was abducted three months ago from Hanafitola village under Sadar upazila. Police also arrested the alleged abductor.
The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Kamruzzaman Fantu,30, a teacher of Devinagar Girls High School in Sadar upazila in Chapainawabganj.
The victim was a daughter of Humayun Kabir of Hanafitola village and a student of class eight at the same school.
Sub Inspector Jahid Hossain of Sadar police station said, the girl was kidnapped when she was going to her private tutor Kamruzzaman's house at Hanfitola village on June 14.
