3 killed in Savar road crashes

Three people were killed and six others injured as a Dhaka-bound truck, carrying raw materials from north Bengal, turned turtle at Bypail on Nabinagar- Kaliakoire Highways
here yesterday.
Police recovered the bodies of Mohammad Ali, 60, son of Asmat Ullah, Milon, 30, son of Mok Molla and Shahin, 16, son of Abdul Aziz from the spot.
They were from Dakkhin Bela village under Shibpur Police Station in Bogra district. Police handed over the bodies to their respective family members at noon.
The injured were sent to local hospital. Details could not be known immediately.
"The ill-fated persons along with raw goods were in the truck," police quoted locals as saying.
The driver and the helper of the truck, however, managed to flee away from the spot after the accident.
