6 caught, arms seized

Police arrested six alleged robbers at Mirpur in the city yesterday.
Police also seized a Pakistani-made revolver, five knives and a car from their possession.
Morshed Alam, assistant sub-inspector of Shah Ali Police Station, said a gang of six robbers in a private car came to the Goran Chatbari area around 1:00am attempting to commit robbery there.
On information, a team led by Sub-Inspector Nurul Islam cordoned the area and caught the robbers red handed, he said.
