2 bullet-hit bodies found

Police recovered the bullet-hit bodies of two unidentified youths beside the Pubail Nagda Bridge on Dhaka-bypass road yesterday, where two men were found dead on July 12.
Abdul Karim, sub-inspector and also the in-charge of Pubail police camp, said the youths, aged about 25 and 30, were shot in the heads. They were blindfolded, gagged, and roped.
The bodies were sent to sadar hospital for autopsy. Police said miscreants might have killed the two youths.
Locals expressed fear the point becoming a safe heaven for killers as the bypass road from Gazipur to Bhulta of Rupganj sinks into darkness soon after the sun-set due to absence of road-lights. They also said neither do police patrol the area nor is any check-post mounted there.
