2 boys found dead in pond

Police recovered bodies of two minor students from a pond yesterday from Madhumita area under Tongi of Gazipur after a day they went missing.
The deceased were Mohammad Sakib, student of local Master Kindergarten and Mohammad Siam of Al Hera Madrassa, both aged around 9, police said.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tongi Police Station Gazi Ruhul Imam said the victims were last seen playing with an abandoned tire near their house around 11:00am on Friday. After then they remained missing, he added.
Relatives searched the whole day but couldn't find them. The locals noticed their bodies floating in the pond water near Renaissance School yesterday morning. On information, police rushed the spot and recovered the bodies from the pond, the OC said.
Police suspect they drowned while swimming in the pond with the tire.
