Police on Saturday night arrested 16 Myanmar citizens in Reisa on charge intrusion, tipped off, police stopped a Bandarban town-bound passenger bus from Cox's Bazar on Cox's Bazar-Bandarban road and arrested the Myanmar citizens from it. The arrestees hail from bordering Akiyab and Mongdu states of Myanmar. They said they illegally entered Bangladesh several times in last four months through Cox's Bazar frontier and took shelter at Rohingya refugee camp and different houses of their relatives. They came to work in Bandarban as wood cutter. The arrestees would be pushed back immediately through Naikhyangchhari border of Bandarban, police said.
