Sports journo Sadi no more
Eminent sports journalist and general secretary of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), Al Musabbir Sadi passed away yesterday at 5:00am following a battle with cancer.
He was 44. He left behind his wife, two children, his mother, a brother and a sister along with a legion of friends and well wishers to whom he was known simply as “Pommel.”
His namaz-e-janaza will be held today at 12:00noon at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
He worked as a senior sports reporter of The Daily Star for around five years before joining BFF in 2009.
The son of Abdul Kuddus Sadi, a writer and a journalist, Al Musabbir Sadi was born at the city's Hatkhola on January 17, 1967.
Several organisations, eminent personalities and citizens expressed their condolence at his death.
