Shafiqur confesses killing wife Nadia

On the second day of his two-day remand, Shafiqur Rahman confessed beating to death his wife Qamrun Nahar Nadia with a piece of wood last Sunday morning as she allegedly had an extramarital affair, said police.
Mentionable, Shahbagh police recovered Nadia's body from Shafiqur's car parked in front of Roads and Highways Bhaban and arrested him on Sunday evening.
The OC of Hazaribagh said they placed Shafiqur on remand after Nadia's brother Sharif filed a case.
Police will produce Shafiqur before a court today.
