BSF shoots Bangladeshi cattle trader
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot and injured a Bangladeshi cattle trader at Sadipur border of Benapole upazila in Jessore early Thursday.
The victim was identified as Mominur Rahman Munna, 23, son of Deen Mohammad Deenu of Namajgram village in the upazila.
Liaquat Ali, BGB commander of Benapole check post, said BSF members stationed at India's Petrapole fired on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders while they were returning home with cattle.
Munna was hit by several bullets, he added.
Later, his companions rushed him to Khulna Medical College Hospital in a serious condition.
Meanwhile, BGB sent a letter to its counterpart protesting the incident.
