BGB jawan dies in jail
A jawan of Boarder Guard Bangladesh (BGB), who was kept as under-trial prisoner in Kashimpur Jail, died of chest pain yesterday.
The body of Santosh Chandra Dhar, 30, a resident of Ramchandi village in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj, was handed over to his relatives.
Jail sources said Santosh felt chest pain at about 4:30am. He was immediately rushed to the sadar hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Santosh, who was posted at the Pilkhana headquarters of BGB, was sent to Kashimpur Jail following his arrest on April 26 last year in connection with BDR mutiny in Pilkhana.
