8 restaurants, two shops fined

A Mobile court in a special drive fined eight restaurants and two shops Tk 1,15,500 for unhygienic condition and for marketing adulterated edible oil in the city Thursday.
The mobile court team led by Executive Magistrate Enamul Habib along with officials from BSTI, police and Rab conducted the drive.
The court fined the restaurants in Shibganj, Uposhahar, Mendibagh and Bandar bazaar area for unhygienic condition.
Besides, the court fined Maya Chemicals Tk 40,000 and Riva Chemicals Tk 40,000 for unauthorised production of different items and for storing edible oil.
