With the theme, 'Atmar Shondhaney Shahosro Duburi' (thousands of divers in search of the soul), a photo exhibition on meditation began last Monday at Arjuntala on Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) campus in Sylhet.
SUST Vice Chancellor Dr. Saleh Uddin inaugurated the exhibition. Quantum SUST cell has arranged this exhibition, featuring 100 images. Professor AKM Mahbubuzzaman, Professor Anwarul Islam, Md. Faruq Uddin and Md. Fakhrul Alam were present, among others, at the opening of the exhibition.
The four-day exhibition runs from 10am to 5pm, without a break and will end today, asserted Kamrul Hasan, convener of the SUST Quantum cell.
The exhibition has drawn hundreds of students and teachers over the last few days and the campus wears a festive look.
Life is becoming increasingly hectic and we need ways to deal with the stress presented by everyday difficulties, speakers were of the view at the opening. Meditation can be an effective way to handle stress, they added.
A student of Sociology, Tazmun Nahar Liza said, “Meditation helps us react calmly to whatever the circumstances and I really appreciate the exhibition for this reason.”
