Principal sent to jail

A High Court bench yesterday sent the principal of Chondipur BM College in Pabna to jail for making false statement before it .
The bench of Justice Shamim Hasnain and Justice MR Hasan ordered Shabagh police to send principal of the college Mofazzal Hossain to jail. His wife Sheuly filed the case in Natore on October 13 last year on charge of taking Tk 2 lakh as dowry.
The bench also rejected his bail petition. Mofazzal in the petition said he did not marry Sheuly. But during cross-examination, he confessed that he married Sheuly.
