<i>Man jailed for arranging marriage of underage daughter</i>

A mobile court in Joypurhat on Sunday jailed a man for arranging marriage of his 11-year-old daughter.
Sources said, Md Helal Uddin of village Bela-Amla of Joypurhat Sadar upazila forced his underage daughter Munifa Begum, a class VI student, to agree to marry one Abdur Rahim,30.
Family sources said that Helal Uddin fixed Munifa's marriage on Sunday noon with an worker of a local brick kiln.
A mobile court led by Romendranath Biswas, executive magistrate, raided the spot moments after the guests of bridegroom arrived at the residence of Helal Uddin.
The team was aided by members of law enforcing agencies including Rab and policemen.
Sensing presence of mobile court men, the bridegroom and the bridal party members fled away but the team arrested Helal Uddin red-handed and sentenced him to jail for one month for the offence.
