11 killed, 45 injured in road accidents

Eleven people were killed and 45 others injured in separate road accidents in Khulna, Benapole, Chittagong, Gazipur and Natore yesterday.
UNB from Khulna reports: Four people were killed and 35 others injured as a bus carrying a bridal party fell into a roadside ditch at city's Khalishpur yesterday.
The deceased are Mamun, 14, Shimul, 13, Ruhul Amin, 27, and bus driver Al Amin, 35.
Police said the bus met the accident at Gazirghota as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving four dead on the spot and injuring others.
The bridegroom Yunus Ali was among the injured.
The injured were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital and other private clinics.
Another report from Benapole says: A van driver Kawser Ali died on the spot and three others were injured as a goods-laden truck hit the van at Bag Achra Bazar in Sharsha upazila yesterday.
Our correspondent from Benapole adds: Two people including a college student were killed and five others injured in a road accident when the driver of a private car lost its control over the steering and hit a roadside tree on Jessore-Monirampur road near Kamalpur area under Sadar upazila yesterday.
The deceased are Nazmul Ahsan Mishu, 25, son of Ahsan Ullah and Sohag, 24, son of Abdur Rahman.
BSS from Chittagong reports: A five-year-old boy was killed and his grand mother injured seriously as a picnic bus ran over them in the city's Tigerpass area yesterday.
Critically injured Bijoy's grandmother Alya Begum, 43, was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
UNB from Gazipur adds: A garments worker Rahim was killed in a road accident when a bus hit him while he was getting down from another bus at Masterbari in Sripur upazila yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahim, 35, worker of Bintes. He hailed from Chengabor village in Gafargaon thana of Mymensingh.
Angered at the accident, garments workers blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway for three hours and damaged five to six vehicles.
Our correspondent from Natore says: Two motorcyclists were killed and one was seriously injured in a road accident when a bus collided head-on with the motorbike in Bondar Amtoly area under Singra upazila yesterday.
The deceased are Ashok Kumar Saha, 32, Pintu Kumar Sarkar, 25.
