BRTA drive against autos

Mobile courts of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) yesterday filed 22 cases against the CNG-run autorickshaws and their drivers for not going by meters and some other faults.
The courts also fined them Tk 10,550 and dumped five CNG-run-three wheelers to dumping ground in this regard.
The BRTA in cooperation with the Dhaka district administration conducted three mobile courts in front of the Jatiya Press Club and at Manik Miah Avenue to ensure if the CNG-run three wheelers are using meters or not.
The drive will continue, said a BRTA official.
