Hearing on remand prayer to quiz Mishu not held
The hearing on a ten-day remand prayer to interrogate Moshrefa Mishu was not held yesterday as police failed to produce her before the court.
Mishu, president of Garment Workers Unity Forum, was arrested on Tuesday in a case filed for injuring and damaging vehicles.
First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate AHM Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan fixed December 19 for hearing on the remand prayer asking police to produce Mishu before it on the scheduled date.
The case was filed with Khilkhet police on charges of injuring 20 policemen, damaging 60 vehicles and setting fire to a few of them in the area on December 12.
Another Dhaka court on Tuesday placed Mishu on a two-day remand in connection with a case filed with Kafrul police on the charges of vandalising Outright Fashion Ltd in Sheorapara, damaging and setting fire to vehicles and obstructing police from duty on June 30.
