Zoran's power to be curbed

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club coach Zoran Kraljevic may not have the final say in selecting the starting eleven when the team begin their campaign in the fourth edition of the Bangladesh League which commences on December 27 at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium.
"After discussion with the team management, Zoran will have to pick the playing eleven for every match in the Bangladesh League though he will have priority in the selection process, but his choice will have to be logical to us," said Anwarul Karim Helal, football manager of the club.
Management of the club did not accept the result of the Federation Cup final well as the club suffered a 5-3 defeat to Abahani despite taking lead twice in the exciting encounter.
"We think his choice in the Federation Cup was not right that also let us down in the game and after that game, we sat with the Serbian coach to discuss the matter and he agreed to discuss about team selection before each match," said Helal adding that officials like him and president Manjur Kader would have hands in the process.
Zoran, however, said that he would enjoy full freedom in picking the starting elevens, but he would discuss about it with others like the doctor, trainer to know the real state of the players before the game.
Zoran, the former trainer of the Bangladesh national team which emerged champions in the SA Games early this year, took charge of Sheikh Jamal in the middle of September on a six-month contract.
