Gausur Rahman: The low profile litterateur
Gausur Rahman, a talented poet, novelist, columnist and researcher, has immersed himself in his arts for over three decades. A low profile litterateur, Rahman has enriched Bengali literature through his writings.
Rahman, born at village Chhoto Ghara in Netrokona on October 1965, started writing verses early. The son of Abdul Mannan, a retired government official and Hosne Ara Begum, Rahman has written poetry, essays, novels and research works. He did his Honours and Masters in Bengali from Govt. Ananda Mohan College Mymensingh.
Rahman's novels - "Amader Bhalobhai Bhulguli " and "Phoolguli, Porinoy-Saurabh" are widely appreciated by readers.
His famous poetry volumes are "Jhinuke Nei Muktu", "Tash Khela Pasha Khela" and "Amader Sheishab Din".
A college teacher by profession, Rahman has so far written 24 research volumes on eminent personalities and varied subjects of Bengali Literature.
