RECKITT BENCKISER(BD)
Unaudited quarterly accounts for the third quarter to September 30 show the company reported profit after tax of Tk 30.87 million with earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 6.53 against Tk 50.32 million and Tk 10.65 respectively for the same period of the previous year. Profit after tax was Tk 112.91 million with EPS of Tk 23.90 for the period of nine months to September 30 against Tk 131.74 million and Tk 27.88 respectively for the same a-year-ago period. Operating profit and EPS for the period of July to Sept has been lowered as compared to the corresponding period of last year.
DACCA DYEING AND MANUFACTURING COMPANY
A board meeting of the company will be held on November 1 (at 6pm) to consider, among others, audited financial statements, as of June 30, 2010.
DAFFODIL COMPUTERS
The company reported earnings per share of Tk 0.63, net asset value per share of Tk 11.64 and net operating cash flow per share of Tk 2.88, as of June 30, 2010 against Tk 0.70, Tk 12.33 and Tk 2.47 respectively as on June 30, 2009.
UTTARA FINANCE
The SEC has approved the rights offer of the company for 1.32 crore ordinary shares of Tk 10 each at an issue price of Tk 30 per share (including a premium of Tk 20 each) totalling Tk 39.60 crore only at a ratio of 1R: 3 (one rights share for three existing shares).

In line with unaudited quarterly accounts for the third quarter to September 30, the bank reported net profit of Tk 1,158.25 million with earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 2.63 (considering face value of Tk 10 per share) against Tk 280.23 million and Tk 0.64 (restated) respectively for the same a-year-ago period. Net profit was Tk 3,314.60 million with EPS of Tk 7.51 (considering face value of Tk 10 per share) for the period of nine months to September 30, 2010 against Tk 1,102.96 million and Tk 2.50 (restated) respectively for the same period of the previous year.
BOC BANGLADESH
As per unaudited quarterly accounts for the third quarter to September 30, the company reported net profit of Tk 158.76 million with earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 10.43 against Tk 129.11 million and Tk 8.48 respectively for the same a-year-ago period. Net profit was Tk 490.43 million with EPS of Tk 32.23 for the period of nine months to September 30, 2010 against Tk 449.64 million and Tk 29.55 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
ASIA INSURANCE
Share trading of the insurer will be allowed only on the spot market and block/odd lot transactions will also be settled as per spot settlement cycle from today to Monday. Trading will remain suspended on Tuesday, a record date for changing the face value and market lot.
