Italy won't accept rematch
Replaying the abandoned Euro 2012 qualifier against Serbia is not an acceptable solution for the Italian Football Federation.
Federation general director Antonello Valentini says that accepting Serbia's request for a replay would be like giving “a gift” to the Serbia squad.
The match in Genoa last week was called off after seven minutes when Serbia supporters threw flares and fireworks onto the field, burned an Albanian flag and broke barriers.
In an interview with RAI state radio Monday, Valentini also notes that UEFA has asked Serbia for an explanation but hasn't asked Italy for anything yet besides the match video.
