Fifteen fail beep test
As many as 15 foreign recruits including Abahani's long-serving Awudu Ibrahim have been temporarily declared unfit for the upcoming Bangladesh League after they failed to pass the beep test, organised by the Bangladesh Football Federation for the first time since the start of professional football league in 2006.
The disqualified foreign footballers will however get another chance to prove their fitness for the league in the next month.
Apart from Awudu Ib-rahim, Abahani's Frank, Yusif Aminu and Samad Yousuf passed the test succe-ssfully while Mohammedan's Eugene was declared unfit though Emeka, Amani, Mohammed Al Hassan, Idris and Ismail qualified.
However, Sheikh Russel KC, Feni Soccer Club, Sheikh Jamal Dhammondi Club and Chitttagong Abahani did face such problems as all of their players passed the test.
Maximum four players from Rahmatganj were declared unfit while Aram-bagh saw their three foreign recruits failing.
